By using AI Detective (the "Service"), you agree to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you must not access or use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and AI Detective.
You are granted a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for lawful personal or internal business purposes. You will not: (a) reverse engineer or attempt to extract source models; (b) scrape, bulk export, or resell outputs; (c) circumvent usage limits or gating; (d) use the Service for unlawful, deceptive, harmful, or abusive activity.
Detection scores are probabilistic. They are not definitive proof of authorship and should not be the sole basis for suspension, discipline, legal, financial, or high-stakes decisions. You assume all risk for reliance on outputs.
You agree not to use the Service to: generate or assist fraud; violate privacy or intellectual property; harvest personal data; enable discrimination, harassment, or exploitation; or probe network/system vulnerabilities.
You are responsible for safeguarding access tokens, API keys, wallets, email logins, or authentication artifacts. We may suspend or terminate accounts for suspected abuse or security risk.
Credits or token thresholds govern feature access. Unused periodic credits may expire and do not roll over unless explicitly stated. Token holdings do not constitute an investment, security, or ownership stake in AI Detective; they only gate feature entitlements as documented. Pricing, limits, credit policies, or token requirements may change at any time with or without notice. All payments are final and non-refundable except as required by applicable law or as explicitly stated in our Refund Policy.
"Lifetime" means the lifetime of the AI Detective service, NOT the lifetime of the subscriber. Lifetime subscribers receive unlimited access to all features and products offered by AI Detective for as long as the Service remains operational. If AI Detective discontinues operations, ceases to exist as a business entity, or permanently shuts down the Service, lifetime access terminates upon such discontinuation. We are under no obligation to provide refunds or any form of monetary compensation upon service discontinuation. However, if feasible, we will make reasonable efforts to provide the source code to lifetime subscribers to enable self-hosting. This is not a guarantee and depends on technical, legal, and practical feasibility at the time of discontinuation. Lifetime subscribers expressly acknowledge and accept these terms as a condition of purchase. The decision to discontinue the Service rests solely with AI Detective and may occur at any time for any reason.
All software, models, heuristics, UI, and brand assets remain our property or that of licensors. You retain rights in your own submitted content, subject to a limited license for us to process and improve service quality (aggregate, anonymized analytics).
Basic operational logs (timestamps, feature usage, truncated text metrics, non-recoverable statistical fingerprints) may be collected to maintain reliability, prevent abuse, and improve detection quality. See the Privacy section if separately published.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE. WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, COMPLETENESS, NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, QUIET ENJOYMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT: (A) DETECTION RESULTS WILL BE ACCURATE, CORRECT, OR RELIABLE; (B) THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE; (C) ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED; (D) THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR EXPECTATIONS; (E) FRAUD, SCAMS, OR AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE DETECTED OR PREVENTED. YOU USE THE SERVICE ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK. AI DETECTION IS PROBABILISTIC AND INHERENTLY IMPERFECT—FALSE POSITIVES AND FALSE NEGATIVES WILL OCCUR.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW: (A) IN NO EVENT SHALL AI DETECTIVE, ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, OR SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, USE, DATA, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES; (B) IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (I) THE AMOUNTS ACTUALLY PAID BY YOU TO AI DETECTIVE IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (II) FIFTY US DOLLARS (USD $50); (C) WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES, LIABILITY, OR LOSSES ARISING FROM: YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE; ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR USE OF OUR SERVERS OR ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION STORED THEREIN; ANY INTERRUPTION OR CESSATION OF THE SERVICE; ANY BUGS, VIRUSES, OR OTHER HARMFUL CODE TRANSMITTED THROUGH THE SERVICE; ANY ERRORS, INACCURACIES, OR OMISSIONS IN DETECTION RESULTS; YOUR RELIANCE ON ANY DETECTION OUTPUTS; ANY THIRD-PARTY ACTIONS OR CONTENT; OR ANY OTHER MATTER RELATING TO THE SERVICE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES OR LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO SOME OF THESE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. IN SUCH CASES, OUR LIABILITY SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AI Detective, its owners, officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, licensors, and service providers from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or relating to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any rights of any third party; (d) your reliance on any detection results or outputs; (e) any content you submit or transmit through the Service; or (f) any actions taken based on Service outputs. This indemnification obligation shall survive termination of these Terms and your use of the Service.
You expressly acknowledge and agree that your use of the Service is at your sole risk. AI detection technology is inherently probabilistic and cannot guarantee accuracy. You assume full responsibility for all consequences of using or relying upon the Service, including any decisions made based on detection results. You waive any claims against AI Detective arising from false positives, false negatives, or any inaccuracies in detection outputs.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Service immediately and without notice for any reason, including but not limited to: breach of these Terms; suspected abuse, fraud, or security risk; legal or regulatory requirement; non-payment; or at our sole discretion. Upon termination: (a) your right to use the Service ceases immediately; (b) you remain liable for all obligations incurred prior to termination; (c) we may delete your account and all associated data without liability; (d) no refunds will be provided for any prepaid fees, unused credits, or subscription periods. Sections 8, 9, 9a, 9b, and 12 shall survive termination.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason. This includes but is not limited to: changing features, functionality, pricing, or availability; imposing new limitations or restrictions; or permanently shutting down the Service. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service. There is no guarantee that the Service will continue to operate indefinitely.
We may revise these Terms with notice (e.g., updated date). Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in accordance with its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall take place in Delaware, and judgment on the arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction. YOU AGREE TO WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION. ALL CLAIMS MUST BE BROUGHT IN YOUR INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not preside over any form of representative or class proceeding. This arbitration agreement shall survive termination of these Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving the original intent.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and any other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and AI Detective regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by AI Detective.
